  • Can I stop my ING Focus Plan before maturity?

Yes, whenever you want. Simply contact either your branch or our help desk on +32 2 464 60 04. We will then cancel the standing order for your ING Focus Plan immediately. Any and all investments you purchased up to this date remain in your possession. You will receive the potential return of these investments when you sell them.

  • Is it possible to see how my ING Focus Plan is doing?

Absolutely. You can track the performance of your investment plan via the “My investments” option in Home’Bank and ING Smart Banking. You can also request asset statements, offering a summary of the performance of all your investments, pension savings plans and investment insurance policies.

  • Why do I need a securities account?

You need a securities account for managing your investments. It is not a bank account but an online file in which we centralise information about your investments. When you apply for an ING Focus Plan, we will automatically link a securities account to your ING current account. The securities account will have the same number as your current account. If you already have a securities account, we will add your new investments to it. Your securities account is free during the first year. After that, you pay 14.52 euros per year (VAT incl.).

  • How do I receive the return of my ING Focus Plan?

The return of your ING Focus Plan is paid into the current account or investment account linked to your securities account once your ING Focus Plan reaches maturity (or is stopped early) and your investments are sold. Contact your branch or our help desk to arrange this.

  • Can I skip one or more payments?

Yes, no problem. You can temporarily stop the standing order of your ING Focus Plan. Simply get in touch with us via your branch or our help desk. You can choose how long to suspend payments. After that period, you do not need to take any steps to reinstate your standing order: that will happen automatically.

  • Can I make additional deposits into my ING Focus Plan?

No. However, you can purchase additional units of the same fund in which you invest via your ING Focus Plan. You can do this via Home’Bank. You can also purchase units of other funds. Please note: these investments will remain entirely separate from your ING Focus Plan.

  • Will the return of my investments be paid into my account every year?

No. Any return will remain in your investments for the duration of your ING Focus Plan. If you want (part) of your potential return on your account, you will need to sell (certain units of) your investments.
